Rashard Mendenhall Fantasy: Solid Production, But No Scoring

Stay connected with SB Nation

Following their win over the New England Patriots and the production of Rashard Mendenhall, the Pittsburgh Steelers' coaching staff will be happy with their running back's performance. Unfortunately, Mendenhall's fantasy owners will be left wishing they got a few more points out of him. He recorded 13 rushes for 70 yards, as well as three catches for 22 yards, but couldn't find the end zone.

Mendenhall was the tenth ranked running back for Week 8, according to SB Nation's fantasy site Fake Teams. Mendenhall was a forgotten man in the Steelers' win over the Cardinals last week, but that was more the result of Pittsburgh choosing to exploit a particularly weak secondary. The week before that he rushed for 146 yards and one touchdown.

New England was allowing 101 rushing yards per game prior to today.

For the season, Mendenhall had 351 rushing yards on 93 carries with three touchdowns prior to today's game against the Patriots.
