Calvin Johnson Fantasy: Another Week, Another Big Game

Stay connected with SB Nation

It was another big day for Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson. With three minutes left to play and Detroit leading the Denver Broncos by a score of 45-10, Johnson had caught six passes for 125 yards and one touchdown.

Only once this season has Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson not scored a touchdown; that came in week 6 against the 49ers. Megatron has ten touchdowns through seven games. He is on pace for more than 22 touchdowns this season. The record for receiving touchdowns in a single season is 23, set by Randy Moss in 2007.

Last week against Atlanta, Johnson scored once and caught five passes for 115 yards. It was his third consecutive game with more than 100 receiving yards.

Johnson entered this week with 41 catches and 679 yards to go with his ten scores. He averages 97 yards per game. Fake Teams, SB Nation's fantasy site, has Johnson ranked as their top receiver for week 8.
