Ron Gronkowski put up some fantastic numbers for the New England Patriots on Sunday - good enough that most fantasy owners will be happy with the production out of their TE slot - but he couldn't get into the endzone as the Patriots lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Gronkowski's seven receptions for 94 yards is an impressive enough line, but without a score, many fantasy owners are going to be a bit disappointed.
Theoretically, Rob Gronkowski couldn't have asked for a better opponent coming off the team's bye week. The Patriots had won five of their last six at Heinz Field prior to this game. On a personal note, Gronkowski had one of the best games of his career against the Steelers during their last meeting; he had three touchdown receptions.
Gronkowski had five touchdown receptions this season coming into this matchup, one behind team leader Wes Welker. The Steelers, however, had allowed only eight touchdown receptions coming into this game and give up only 171.9 passing yards per game, best in the NFL.
