Hakeem Nicks Fantasy: Hamstring Injury Ends Giants WR's Day

Stay connected with SB Nation

Hakeem Nicks had six catches for 67 yards against the Dolphins on Sunday, but the bigger fantasy news was that the Giants wide receiver left the game late in the fourth quarter with a hamstring injury. He did not catch a touchdown.

The Giants (and fantasy owners) need Nicks to be back next week against the Patriots.

The New York Giants face an advantageous game when they host the winless Miami Dolphins Sunday. For Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks, he hopes that he will continue his hot streak against AFC opponents. Nicks had 23 catches for 282 yards and two touchdowns in his last three games against AFC teams. Nicks has never played the Dolphins, but they don't factor to be a challenge for the 4-2 Giants.

Nicks had 32 receptions for 508 yards and three touchdowns this season and 18 catches, 323 yards and and two touchdowns have come in October. The Dolphins rank 21st in the NFL in passing defense, allowing 259 yards per game through the air. It seems that Nicks and the Giants have a favorable match-up Sunday.
