Brandon Jacobs Status Update: Giants RB Active For Dolphins Game

Stay connected with SB Nation

It seems the bye week has done the Giants well, as they'll be healthier than they've been in weeks with backup running back Brandon Jacobs and defensive end Justin Tuck listed as active against the Miami Dolphins.

Jacobs has been out since Oct. 2 with a knee injury, before which he wasn't particularly effective. Though he scored two touchdowns, the mammoth running back is averaging a shade over three yards a carry, and has received more than 10 touches just once.

His health may mean a downgrade for Ahmad Bradshaw, who, in Jacobs' absence has piled up touchdowns like they're second-helpings at Thanksgiving dinner (it's almost that time of year, you guys!). With Jacobs in the mix once more, it could mean Bradshaw will again be pulled in short-yardage situations, because Tom Coughlin hates you. Unless you own Brandon Jacobs. Then God hates you.
