The somewhat expected but still much anticipated fantasy football news of the day was the injury status of Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis. The Browns running back is inactive versus the 49ers after spending all week as limited in practice. HIllis has been dealing with a hamstring injury and has not been able to get back in time for the Browns game against the 49ers.
Montario Hardesty gets the start in place of Hillis, although he is not a great play this week given the 49ers strong play against the rush. If you are short a running back he is worth rolling out since he will get most of the carries, but do not look for a monster day from Hardesty. If he does get a big day, consider it a bonus.
Peyton Hillis has had a fairly miserable 2011 season as he has dealt with injuries and contract issues since day one. He will look to get back for the Browns week nine contest against the Houston Texans.
