Rashard Mendenhall's Status Uncertain, Isaac Redman Could Start For Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall might play Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, but if he does, it will be in a reserve role, according to NFL Network Insider Jason La Canfora.

Meanwhile, ESPN's Josina Anderson is reporting that Mendenhall does not expect to play Sunday. If Mendenhall does not play - or plays in a limited role - Isaac Redman will start for the Steelers.

Mendenhall fully participated in practice Friday despite missing the previous two after injuring his hamstring last week in Pittsburgh's 17-10 loss to the Houston Texans. The Steelers listed him as questionable on this week's injury report.

Mendenhall has 58 carries for 173 yards and two touchdowns on the season, including one last week before getting injured. His possible replacement, Redman, has 22 carries for 107 yards this season. Redman has just one career touchdown, which came in Week 2 in Pittsburgh's 24-0 win over the Seattle Seahawks.
