The Chiefs struggled to get anything going on the ground for most of Monday's win over the Chargers, but things started to click late in the game. Jackie Battle finished the game with 70 yards, 50 of which came in the fourth quarter and overtime. Battle's lone touchdown also came in the fourth, turning a relative modest fantasy performance into a very solid one.
Battle has carried the rushing load for the Kansas City Chiefs the last three games. The big, strong running back now has 308 yards on 64 attempts so far this season. Last week against the Raiders, he picked up 76 yards on 16 carries, while Javier Arenas and Le'Ron McClain scored rushing touchdowns for the Chiefs, who have now won four straight games.
In Week 3, Kansas City was limited to 80 yards and no scores on 26 carries from four backs. However, Battle did not see much action in that game.
