Oakland Raiders rookie wide receiver Denarius Moore had his second monster game of the season and continues to tempt fantasy football owners with crazy speed and athleticism. Moore was an integral part of the Raiders 24-17 victory over the Chargers as he hauled in five receptions for 123 yards and two touchdowns. He added in an important 21-yard punt return that set up his first touchdown reception.
The Raiders rookie receiver has shown significant long-term fantasy potential, but in the short term it is tough to tell what he will do week-to-week. In week two, Moore grabbed five receptions for 146 yards and a touchdown, along with a 25-yard rush. However, since then he has been fairly quiet. Last week he finally emerged back on the scene, connecting with Carson Palmer for 61 yards on four catches.
The Raiders lost Jacoby Ford to a foot sprain, which could bode well for the fantasy value of Moore. If Palmer continues to feel this kind of chemistry with his rookie receiver, Moore could be in line for a strong run the rest of the season. Previous leading receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey has dropped almost entirely out of the conversation, and Moore could be in line for even more looks moving forward.
If you missed it, here are videos of his two touchdown receptions against the Chargers
