New York Jets Mark Sanchez has had some troubles going up against the New England Patriots. He did throw an interception that the Patriots eventually converted into points, but he also found Plaxico Burress for a touchdown pass early in the fourth quarter. Sanchez has completed 14 passes on 26 attempts for 206 yards.
Sanchez had been a steady, yet unspectacular fantasy football quarterback entering his Week 10 matchup against the Patriots. In five of his eight games, he has thrown for multiple touchdowns, but he has often struggled with his accuracy, limiting all that he could do.
Before Week 10, Sanchez averaged 222 yards per game and 1.6 touchdowns per game. In his previous game against the Patriots, Sanchez did throw for just 166 yards and two touchdowns. And the Patriots' pass defense has been among the league's worst this season, entering the game as the league's worst.
