Week ten of the 2011 NFL season got underway Thursday evening with the Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers squaring off in a huge division rival. The game marked the return of Thursday Night Football on NFL Network, and also forced folks to make some early fantasy football lineup decisions. The tight end position was fairly straightforward Thursday as Antonio Gates is a must-start and Kevin Boss is generally a must-sit.
This week, the NFL has no byes, which means all healthy players are on the table. Fantasy teams get a much better idea of where they are at since you will be throwing out your best possible line, excluding injury issues. For week ten, there are a few tough injuries to deal with, including Dallas Clark being out and Jared Cook and Jermaine Gresham being questionable.
As you try and deal with injuries, here are a couple sleeper options for the week:
Visanthe Shiancoe, Vikings: Shiancoe faces a highly suspect Packers pass defense. Minnesota could be blown out after one quarter, but however this game goes, I suspect Christian Ponder will be eyeing Shiancoe for much of the afternoon.
Ed Dickson, Ravens: Joe Flacco looked for his wide receivers quite frequently against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but I could see him spreading the ball around a bit more on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. Call it a hunch more than anything.
