The NFL continues week ten of the 2011 season following Thursday's explosive battle between the Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers. The Raiders defense blew up the Chargers with six sacks, an interception and a fumble recovery. They only gave up 17 points so it was an all around solid fantasy effort.
The NFL's week ten schedule includes no byes, which means you simply have to go with the best matchups you can find and hope for the best. You can't really project out special teams touchdowns, so you just want the best defensive matchup and anything that comes with it just gravy.
Defenses like the Ravens, Steelers and 49ers will all be on display, but there are a few intriguing sleeper defenses. The Miami Dolphins have gotten off to an atrocious start, but they face a Washington Redskins offense that is pretty awful. They may not get a ton of takeaways, but there is a good chance they can keep it low scoring and bring the heat on John Beck.
The Denver Broncos are another intriguing defensive option as they face the inconsistent Kansas City Chiefs. It is a bit of a roll of the dice with Denver, but they are hot and could very well spring another upset this week. When picking a fantasy defense in a week like this, you gotta go with your gut on the matchup they face.
