New York Jets wide receiver Plaxico Burress hadn't had a great night on the field until the start of the fourth quarter. Mark Sanchez has thrown to Burress eight times, but the receiver has caught just three of those balls for 39 yards. One catch was 21 yards, potentially giving a bonus in leagues that take into account the length of a catch. His third catch was a touchdown reception just five seconds into the fourth quarter.
Burress had 322 receiving yards on the season with 5 receiving touchdowns entering Week 10. Burress was averaging 40 yards receiving per game. Burress's receiving yards per game was down nearly 5 yards per game from last season.
Burress was ranked as the 31st ranked wide receiver according to Yahoo! heading into his match up with the New England Patriots who ranked 32d against the pass, giving up 314 passing yards per game.
