The New England Patriots and the New York Jets haven't played the most exciting Sunday Night game, but it could have been if Wes Welker had better production. Midway through the third quarter, Welker had just three catches for 22 yards.Tight end Rob Gronkowski was favored by Tom Brady, connecting for six catches and two touchdowns.
Welker had 960 receiving yards on the season with six receiving touchdowns entering Week 10. Welker was averaging 120 yards receiving per game. Welker's receiving yards per game was up nearly 70 yards per game from last season.
Welker was ranked as the 10th ranked wide receiver according to Yahoo! heading into his match up with the New York Jets who ranked 6th against the pass, giving up 196 passing yards per game.
