New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles was contained by the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon. Sproles had just two rushes for one yard. He was also non-existent in the passing game, catching four balls for two yards. But the Saints ground game wasn't able to do much at all. Sproles, Pierre Thomas and Mark Ingram combined for 16 rushes and 41 yards.
Sproles is in an interesting catch-22: he's likely to challenge NFL records for all-purpose yardage, but hasn't gotten enough of that yardage in huge bunches to be a week-swinging fantasy option. Entering Week 10, Sproles had more than 100 combined rushing and receiving yards only twice, in Weeks 4 and 7, and he had only scored more than one touchdown in a game in that Week 7 decimation of the Colts. But he racks up return yardage and receptions, and if your league values either, Sproles should never see your bench.
