Philadephia Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin had a rough day Sunday as he was held to a pair of receptions for six yards in the eagles 21-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Maclin was banged up all day long as he had to leave the game at one point with a shoulder injury and later with a hamstring injury. He returned from the shoulder injury, but the late nature of the hamstring injury cost him the end of the fourth quarter.
After the game, Maclin spoke to the media and was not particularly exuberant about his condition. Without hearing Maclin's tone or the context of the conversation, we can't really take a lot from Adam Caplan's tweet. Maclin appears to be hoping for some improvement on Monday, so we'll wait and see what kind of update we get.
The Eagles had all sorts of problems at wide receiver as they deactivated Desean Jackson due to missing a meeting (and potentially some other team rules infractions). The Vince Young-dubbed Dream Team finds itself in a nightmare season and it doesn't get any better if Maclin goes down. Desean Jackson has struggled lately and Maclin was stepping up. Now, we'll have to wait and see the extent of his hamstring injury. More to come.
