Chris Johnson Fantasy Recap: Titans RB Posts Second 100-Yard Game Of Season

For Chris Johnson fantasy owners, the Tennessee Titans running back has been incredibly frustrating this season. Coming off a strong 2010 season after a dominant 2009 season, Johnson has been a disappointment in every sense of the word. At @sbnationfantasy, there is at least one question per week asking whether a person should bench Chris Johnson that week.

Well, hopefully you did not bench Chris Johnson this week. After weeks of struggles, CJ2K showed some of his old burst on Sunday, rushing for 130 yards and one touchdown, while also hauling in four passes for 44 yards. It was his best performance of the season, and only his second 100+ yard rushing performance. Given how this season has gone, I'd imagine some folks benched him today only to finally see him go off.

The Titans travel to Atlanta next Sunday for a tough matchup against a Falcons defense that has been very strong against the run. At this point, Chris Johnson seems like a matchup-to-matchup guy at this point. If you are short of running backs he is a guy to start, but if you are not hurt by the byes, I would actually recommend benching CJ2K this coming week. It is entirely possible he is ready to turn his season around, but I'm not holding my breath.
