The Arizona Cardinals stunned the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday afternoon with a 21-17 victory capped by John Skelton's five-yard touchdown pass to Early Doucet. The real star of the game though, had to be Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. The Cardinals star receiver finished the day with seven catches for 146 yards and two touchdowns. His two touchdowns allowed him to tie and then pass Roy Green for the Cardinals franchise record for career touchdowns.
Even as the Arizona Cardinals try and figure out their QB situation, Larry FItzgerald remains a fantasy stalwart. His worst performance of the season was 62 yards in the season opener. He has five double digit fantasy point performances, and as today showed, he is always capable of blowing up for scores and yards.
The Cardinals travel to San Francisco this Sunday to face the 49ers and it should create an intriguing matchup. 49ers cornerback Carlos Rogers is having a Pro Bowl-level season, but the 49ers move him around to different positions on the field. It will be an interesting matchup for Fitzgerald as the 49ers will likely roll a safety over top to help whichever corner has Fitzgerald on a given play.
