Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson had a bit of an off night Monday Night, at least by his own lofty standards. Peterson finished Monday's game with 51 rushing yards and a touchdown. It was not an awful night by any stretch, but it was his lowest fantasy output since week six against the Chicago Bears. Falling behind big did not help matters.
Peterson is always a must-start in fantasy football, but he's been exceptionally effective in recent weeks. Since Minnesota's Week 5 rout of the Cardinals, Peterson's racked up 419 rushing yards and six touchdowns in four games, and he added five catches for 76 yards and a touchdown in Week 8 against the Panthers. And Peterson, logically, should remain potent for as long as rookie quarterback Christian Ponder is at the helm in Minnesota.
