We break down the Wednesday practice participation report for week 11 of the 2011 NFL season. For more on fantasy football, check out Fake Teams.
Week eleven of the 2011 NFL season is upon us and the second Thursday Night Football game of the year features the Denver Broncos hosting the New York Jets. The Fightin' Tim Tebows continue to try and show the world they can win NFL games with the option offense in a passing league. I don't know what is going on, but I will not dare challenge the all powerful Tebow.
Here are the pertinent fantasy performers on the final injury report for Jets-Broncos. The rest of the practice participation reports are further down:
Out: RB Ladanian Tomlinson, Knowshon Moreno
Questionable: RB Willis McGahee
Probable: WR Santonio Holmes, WR Plaxico Burress
Willis McGahee has been a limited participant in practice all week long and is a game-time decision. The Broncos are optimistic he can play, but with a hamstring injury it comes down to how he feels Thursday evening in pre-game warmups. If you are counting on McGahee this week, make sure and check the inactives list Thursday evening. Lance Ball will get carries no matter what happens with McGahee, but it is a question of how many depending on whether McGahee is active or not.
This week's first practice participation reports for the Sunday games are relatively short. The big news is Felix Jones is finally back on the practice field. He is limited this week, but that is a step up from where he has been the last few weeks. The Cowboys face a question as to how they will handle Jones once he is healthy. DeMarco Murray has had a ton of success the last month and might have staked his claim to the number one spot on the depth chart. I suspect Jones will be inactive this week to buy the Cowboys a bit more time.
