Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back LeGarrette Blount made his way back to practice on Wednesday and appears set to return from his sprained MCL. Blount was a full participant in practice, which is big news considering the number of running backs who were limited or DNPs on Wednesday. The timing is huge for fantasy owners and the Bucs alike as backup Earnest Graham went down with a torn Achilles during the team's trip to London.
Blount will return as the team's featured back, and it appears as though he will also handle much of the third down duties for the first time this season. Graham handled those duties previously. It will be interesting to see how long that lasts as Blount has not been a big receiving back in his season and a half in the NFL. He has nine career catches. If he struggles in the role, the team likely would look to Kregg Lumpkin to handle third down duties.
In the meantime, get LeGarrette Blount back in your starting lineup for Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. It is not a fantastic matchup, but given other injuries and byes, Blount remains a strong starting candidate now that he is healthy again.
