Jonathan Stewart Fantasy Stats: Stewart Leads Carolina Receivers

Stay connected with SB Nation

Carolina Panthers  running back Jonathan Stewart was his team's to receiver in a loss to the Detroit Lions today. Stewart caught six passes for 87 yards. He also added eight rushing attempts for 22 yards in the game.

Jonathan Stewart is the odd man out in Carolina. He is arguably their best running back, but does not get the touches that DeAngelo Williams gets in their pass-heavy offense. He does get a regular amount of targets in the passing game, which adds to his fantasy value as a flex player.

For the season, Stewart had 350 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 75 carries, prior to a week 11 game against the Lions. He had 242 receiving yards and a touchdown on 27 catches prior to this week. Fake Teams, SB Nation's fantasy sports site, has Stewart ranked 27th on their week 11 running back rankings.
