The Cincinnati Bengals' quarterback, rookie Andy Dalton, will be without his favorite wide receiver in fellow rookie A.J. Green for the team's monumental matchup against division rivals the Baltimore Ravens, as the team has officially declared Green inactive. The receiver had been listed as doubtful, but reports surfaced Sunday morning that he wanted to play through his knee injury, but team doctors have apparently decided he is incapable of doing so.
Green will be replaced in the starting lineup by Andre Caldwell, so if owners are desperate, Caldwell could be a nice speculative play. He doesn't provide nearly the upside Green does as he's four inches shorter, but Caldwell relies on his speed to beat defenses. If Dalton can lead him into some open space, he can do some damage. Tight end Jermaine Gresham and wide receiver Jerome Simpson will likely receive more looks without Green playing, but against the Ravens, all Bengals are risky plays.
