Matthew Stafford Fantasy: Lions Quarterback Throws For Five Touchdowns

Stay connected with SB Nation

Matthew Stafford returned to prominence as a fantasy option in Week 11 NFL action. That's what 335 yards and five touchdowns will do for a quarterback. Stafford's two interceptions mitigated that excellence slightly, but there's a very good chance that Stafford's massive day swung millions of match-ups this week.

Stafford has been an up-and-down fantasy quarterback in 2011. He began the year with seven touchdowns in two games, then promptly threw just nine touchdowns over his next five starts. And in his last three games, he's thrown nine touchdowns and six interceptions.

There's a lot of risk and reward with Stafford, but he tends to carve up limited secondaries. And though the Green Bay Packers loom on Thanksgiving, their secondary has been more than forgiving in 2011.
