Fantasy Football Week 12 Injury News: Stars Look To Return For Stretch Run

The 2011 fantasy football season is flying along and fast approaching its conclusion. For the average league, Week 14 is the start of eight and six team playoffs. That means it is the stretch run and it is all hands on deck time in your league.

The NFL wrapped up their final bye weeks and thankfully that has allowed a few players to finally start getting healthy and back on the field. The biggest name is Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson. The receiver has been out for nearly two months with a hamstring injury and looks like he might finally make his return to the field this weekend. Johnson has been sidelined for a while not and is dealing with a questionable quarterback situation, but he is a must-start if active. There is simply too much upside to ignore him.

Colts running back Joseph Addai is looking to make his return to the field this weekend as well while also dealing with a hamstring injury. He faces the Carolina Panthers in an intriguing matchup. The Panthers struggle mightily in stopping the run and given the Colts passing woes, they would be wise to go run-heavy. Addai hasn't played in a month so at the very least, proceed with caution. Donald Brown and Delone Carter remain threats to Addai's carries.

Another intriguing return is under-the-radar wide receiver Santana Moss. While Moss is not a big name guy like Calvin Johnson or Mike Wallace, he brings a certain level of consistency that can be pivotal for fantasy football owners. When healthy, Moss is a great flex option and even a decent WR2. Moss was a full participant in practice this week, so he should be good to go this week. The Redskins have a whole mess of question marks throughout their offense, so Moss might be a guy to stash for one week to see where he is at. But if he is available, he is a very solid addition.
