Green Bay Packers running back James Starks is listed as questionable after a week of limited practice. Starks would have sat out Monday's practice if it had been more than a walkthrough. He followed that up with limited appearances in Tuesday and Wednesday practices.
Starks has emerged as the better fantasy option between him and Ryan Grant. That does not say a whole lot given the Packers reliance on the pass. Starks is a solid flex and RB2 on occasion, but there is not a ton of upside in the Packers offense. Additionally, John Kuhn snags goal line carries and Ryan Grant gets plenty of his own carries to offset Starks' value.
Starks will be a game-time decision, which means we will find out if he is active or inactive by approximately 11am ET when the Packers inactive list should go out. If Starks is inactive, Grant will be the feature back. If Starks is active, he would likely get the majority of the carries, although it might be a fairly slim majority. Packers running backs in general are bad news in fantasy football because of the offense they are in.
