Dallas Cowboys running back Felix Jones is listed as questionable for the Cowboys Thanksgiving game against the Miami Dolphins. Jones is expected to play, but the recent emergence of DeMarco Murray has temporarily, indefinitely relegated Jones to a backup role.
Jones entered the year as the lead back with Murray slowly working his way into the backup running back position. Tashard Choice entered the year as the backup, but Choice quickly appeared to move into somebody's doghouse. Murray surpassed Choice on the depth chart and finally got his big break when Felix Jones went down with a high ankle sprain in week six against the New England Patriots.
Murray wasn't spectacular against the Patriots, but he got the bulk of the carries a week later against the St. Louis Rams and proceeded to set the Cowboys single game rookie rushing record with 253 yards. He has built on that in recent weeks and would seem locked in as the starter moving forward. If you have Murray, you should have no concerns about losing too many carries to Jones for now. The Cowboys face a decision in the offseason, but for now they'll continue sticking with the hot hand.
