Kevin Kolb Questionable With Turf Toe

Stay connected with SB Nation

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb is listed as "Questionable after he was limited in practice throughout the week and will be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams.

Kolb has missed the last three weeks with the turf toe/bone bruise on his right foot and head coach Ken Whisenhunt was glad to get the team's franchise quarterback back in action this week.

"He's worked through it every day and he's been sore," Whisenhunt said of Kolb according to The Arizona Republic. "But getting the rust off was what was important this week and seeing if he would be able to play from a standpoint of practicing one day and seeing how it reacted the next day.

"The next thing for him, when we travel, is to see how it feels on the turf on Sunday."

Second-year quarterback John Skelton would start if Kolb cannot play. In three games this season, Skelton has completed 47-of-94 pass attempts for 636 yards with four touchdowns and five interceptions as the Cardinals have gone 2-1 to improve to 3-7 on the season.
