Ben Roethlisberger Fantasy: Chiefs Defense Stifled Steelers Quarterback

Stay connected with SB Nation

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger practiced in full with his team on Friday, erasing any doubts about his status for week 12 against the Kansas City Chiefs. That, no doubt, made fantasy owners very happy, as they hoped for the first multiple touchdown game from Big Ben since Week 8.

They didn't get what they wanted, however, as the Kansas City Chiefs defense stifled the quarterback on Sunday Night Football. Roethlisberger threw for just 193 yards on 31 attempts, though his two-yard strike to rookie tight end Weslye Saunders accounted for the only touchdown of the game.

Prior to this week's game, Roethlisberger 2,877 passing yards to go with 16 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Five of his touchdown passes came in a week 5 game against the Titans. Yardage wise, he was averaging 287 yards per game through the first 11 weeks of the season.
