Tim Tebow came through with the late game heroics once again, leading the Denver Broncos on a 68-yard field goal drive in the fourth quarter to tie the San Diego Chargers, setting up a game-winning 38-yard drive in overtime. Per usual he didn't put up spectacular numbers, going 9-for-18 passing for 143 yards and a touchdown, adding 67 yards rushing on 22 carries.
Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos silenced a few more critics with a win over the New York Jets in week 11, on prime time television. With the AFC West race tightly packed together, the stakes were a little higher in a division matchup against the San Diego Chargers for week 12.
Tebow did not throw a touchdown pass last week. He did score on the ground for the second week in a row, and he has done considerable damage to opposing defenses with his legs and the read option offense. Through eight games played prior to this week, Tebow had 709 passing yards, seven touchdowns and one interception. On the ground, Tebow has carried the ball 56 times for 388 yards and three touchdowns.
