Matt Ryan had the breakout game many have been hoping for on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. The Falcons quarterback was 27 of 34 for 262 yard, but more importantly tossed three touchdowns. It was the kind of performance many had been expecting to see more of this year.
Ryan was supposed to lead a much more dynamic Falcons offense this season. That was part of the reason the team swapped a boatload of draft picks to move up in the 2011 NFL Draft to take wide receiver Julio Jones, who has missed a handful of games this season. Ryan has thrown for multiple touchdown passes just three times in ten games prior to this week.
For the season, Ryan has 2,625 passing yards, 15 touchdowns and ten interceptions. Fake Teams, SB Nation's fantasy sports site, had Ryan ranked ninth on their week 12 quarterback rankings.
