Cam Newton played well during the the Carolina Panthers' win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. He didn't put up the kind of jaw-dropping numbers that fantasy owners have come to expect from the rookie, however. Newton went 20-for-27 passing for 208 yards, adding 53 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.
Newton threw a season-high four interceptions last week against the Detroit Lions. It was the third time this season Newton has thrown multiple picks in a game. Fortunately, a start against the Indianapolis Colts in week 12 looked like just the thing for weary fantasy owners.
Despite those four interceptions, Newton did rush for two touchdowns, giving him a rookie record-breaking nine rushing touchdowns for season, prior to this week's game. Newton has 2,885 passing yards to go with 12 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
Fake Teams ranked Newton fifth among all quarterbacks on their week 12 rankings list.
