Arian Foster Fantasy: Texans RB Has Relatively Quiet Game

Stay connected with SB Nation

With Matt Schaub out and backup quarterback Matt Leinart going down in the first half, you would think that would mean good things for Arian Foster's fantasy output. Turns out, the Houston Texans didn't really need him that much. Foster overcome an early fumble to score a touchdown, but ended up with a relatively pedestrian 65 rushing yards and 24 receiving yards. Of those rushing yards, 42 came on one carry.

Foster and his team had the week off last week. Foster's fantasy owners may have had to sweat out his absence, but Foster probably needed the week off after a productive run of games this season. Foster has topped 100 yards from scrimmage in every game since week 4. He broke triple digits for rushing yards in four games and broke the 100-yard mark for receiving three times this season.

Through week 11, Foster had a total of 740 rushing yards and six touchdowns to go with 445 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns.

Fake Teams, SB Nation's fantasy sports site, had Foster ranked at the top of their running back rankings for week 12.
