Chris Johnson Fantasy Recap: CJ2K Breaks Out Against Buccaneers

Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson has dealt with struggles for much of the season, with speculated reasons ranging from poor offensive line play to his new contract to a rapid deterioration of his skills. Well, for one week we can rule out that last possible reason. Johnson blew up on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, rushing 23 times for 190 yards.

This was Johnson's third 100-yard rushing game of the season, but he has been unable to establish any sort of consistency. Two weeks ago he rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown and everybody thought he was back. Last week he rushed 12 times for 13 yards, this week 190 yards.

Next week, Johnson and the Titans face the Buffalo Bills on the road, followed by a home game against the New Orleans Saints. Neither brings a fantastic rushing defense, but it is hard to tell what to expect from Johnson week to week. Javon Ringer will continue to get a decent amount of carries each week, but CJ2K will remain the feature back and look to gain some measure of consistency.
