Mark Ingram enjoyed perhaps his finest game as a pro in Monday's 49-24 win over the Giants, as the former Heisman Trophy winner carried the ball 13 times for 80 yards and a touchdown, adding two catches for 14 yards through the air. Those numbers may not look all that impressive at first glance, but Ingram's touches have been limited this year with Pierre Thomas (eight carries for 63 yards and a TD Monday) and Darren Sproles (eight carres for 54 yards) seeing regular action.
Ingram got off to a good start in his rookie season with the Saints, but an injury slowed him down. In his return against the Falcons in Week 10, Ingram rushed for just 11 yards on eight carries. Coming into Week 12, Ingram had 340 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns. With Thomas and Sproles both healthy and performing well, Ingram's opportunities will always be more limited than most featured backs, but he's clearly healthy and likely the best fantasy option of the three going forward.
