Plaxico Burress A Game-Time Decision On Sunday

New York Jets wide receiver Plaxico Burress has a lower back injury and is expected to be a game-time decision against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

The 33-year-old Burress was limited in Thursday and Friday's practice and was officially listed as "Questionable" on the team's final injury report of the week.

"You think he'll be fine, but sometimes those backs are troublesome," Ryan said of Burress via Jenny Vrentas of The Star-Ledger. "So hopefully he's feeling good when we play on Sunday."

Despite having the second-most targets on the team this season, Burress has just 18 receptions for 243 yards and five touchdowns in his first season back after spending nearly two years in a New York prison. Burress is coming off a four-catch, three-touchdown performance in the Jets' come-from-behind win over the San Diego Chargers in Week 7.

If Burress is unable to play, 2011 fifth-round pick Jeremy Kerley is expected to start opposite Santonio Holmes. Kerley has caught nine passes for 82 yards and a touchdown over the three last weeks since overtaking Derrick Mason as the team's No. 3 receiver.
