Braylon Edwards Probable, Expected To Play On Sunday

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Braylon Edwards practiced all week and is listed as "Probable" for Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins.

Edwards missed a month after undergoing minor surgery, returning to catch four passes for 42 yards in the 49ers' 20-10 win over the Cleveland Browns. Signed to a one-year, $1.6 million contract as a free agent in August, Edwards has eight receptions for 90 yards in three games this season, with Sunday's production being his highest as a member of the 49ers.

Though Edwards came off the bench against the Browns, the team that selected him in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft, he is expected to return to his starting role opposite Michael Crabtree in the near future. Combined, Crabtree and Edwards were targeted 16 times by quarterback Alex Smith on Sunday, catching nine passes for 96 yards and a touchdown (by Crabtree).
