Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin cannot seem to catch a break as he aggravated the hamstring injury that cost him two games earlier in the season. Austin came up lame on a deep ball and finished the game with two receptions for 53 yards. He did not return to the game and his status moving forward is questionable.
Austin looked ready to blow up this season as he opened with 233 yards and four touchdowns through the first two games of the season. However, late in the Cowboys victory over the 49ers, Austin strained his hamstring. He missed the next two games and has struggled to get anything going since then. Over the last four games he has caught a combined 14 passes for 170 yards and no touchdowns.
We'll keep an eye on the practice participation reports this week, but if the injury is anything like his last hamstring injury, Austin could miss a game or two. We'll have updates throughout the week.
