Rob Gronkowski Fantasy Stats: NFL Record TD Catch, More, For Pats TE

Stay connected with SB Nation

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has been a gift for fantasy football owners this season. On Sunday vs. the Redskins, he put up silly stats. Gronkowski caught two touchdown passes, setting an NFL record for most touchdown catches by a tight end in a single season. He hauled in six passes for 160 yards, including a long grab of 50 yards that set up his first touchdown catch.

Gronkowski's first TD was his 14th of the season, setting the aforementioned NFL record. It also spawned a classic moment where he spike the ball, before realizing he wanted the record-setter and chasing it down.

Gronkowski is having a breakout season and one of the best years for a tight end ever. He has averaged better than 75 yards per game receiving and after Week 14, he has already tallied more than 1,000 receiving yards this season.
