Fantasy Football Week 16 Waiver Wire: Donald Brown Explodes

We've reached the final week of fantasy football for most leagues in 2011. Once more we check the waiver wire and see if any help is available.

Dec 20, 2011 - This is it, the final week of most fantasy leagues. Did you make the Championship Game? Or are you fighting for the coveted Toilet Bowl? It doesn't matter, because if you're still playing in your league, you want to win in Week 16. It's never too late to add some help on the waiver wire, so for one more time, we'll turn to our partner numberfire.com for fantasy advice.

Add

After his huge explosion in the Colts first win of the year, running back Donald Brown will be a hot add for running back starved owners. But a note of caution, the Colts play the Texans defense which has been stingy in giving up points to running backs. The Bears may be falling apart, but running back Kahlil Bell is getting a look with Matt Forte out. Bell is getting carries and catching passes. Anybody looking for a desperation play at quarterback might consider Kyle Orton, who had an efficient game for the Chiefs last week but was hurt by not connecting for any touchdowns. This week he faces a weak Oakland pass defense.

Drop

Anybody who will not be in your Week 16 lineup is a good for a drop if you're playing the waiver wire. Below is a list of guys who are projected to have poor fantasy production on the final weekend.
