Arian Foster Fantasy Stats: Houston Texans RB Rushes For Over 100 Yards

Stay connected with SB Nation

Houston Texans' running back Arian Foster scored the game-winning touchdown with roughly six minutes left in the game. For his fantasy owners, he provided not only that score but also 111 rushing yards on 31 carries. He also grabbed three catches for 41 yards.

With Matt Schaub out for the season and Matt Leinart not even lasting a full half before injuring himself, the Houston Texans are in dire need of offense. Starting quarterback T.J. Yates will need some help. Luckily for him, Arian Foster is now healthy and can lead the charge Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.

Foster has been instrumental throughout the Texans' season, earning 805 yards on 193 carries and seven touchdowns in limited work due to injury. At 8-3, Houston is in sole possession of the AFC South and has some wiggle room while it tries to acclimate to a third-string quarterback, but Foster will be integral to their success from now on.

In his past five games, Foster has NFL-best marks with 156.6 yards per game from scrimmage and eight touchdowns, two of which have come through the air. Atlanta's run defense, however, is stingy, allowing just over 117 yards on the ground per game. Something has to give.
