The 2011 SI Swimsuit Cover Model Is Irina Shayk

The all-important 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model was announced by David Letterman on The Late Show Monday night. Russian beauty Irina Shayk, the girlfriend of Portuguese soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, is your bikini-laden lady of choice. She follows in the barefoot footsteps of 2010 cover model Brooklyn Decker and 2009 cover model Bar Refaeli.

The 25-year-old has appeared in the Swimsuit Issue in the last four years, but this is her first cover. Along with the aforementioned duo, Shayk joins a list of notable models that includes Carol Alt, Rebecca Romijn, Tyra Banks, Elle Macpherson, Heidi Klum and Marisa Miller.

Seventeen models, including Brooklyn Decker, Hilary Rhoda, Julie Henderson, Leryn Franco and Jessica White will also be included in the issue. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue hits newsstands Tuesday, February 15. But then again you already knew that.
