It's looking more and more like the quad injury suffered by Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant will keep him out of the Cowboys' Week 2 game against the San Francisco 49ers. Last week against the New York Jets, Bryant was slowed in the second half with the injury.
Bryant's absence will be big for fantasy football fans and the Cowboys, as well as those behind Bryant on the depth chart. The Star-Telegram in Dallas points to Miles Austin and Kevin Ogletree as guys that could have a big day with Bryant out.
The Cowboys will have to test their receiving depth if Dez Bryant is unable to play because of the thigh contusion he suffered last week. It could mean more balls for Miles Austin, but then he's also going to get most of the attention from the 49ers. This might be a big chance for Kevin Ogletree.
His chances of playing? Not very good. Jason La Canfora of NFL Network reports he'll test the quad out in pregame, but it doesn't look good. ESPN's Chris Mortensen, as well as Peter King of SI.com, don't think he'll play.
So if you're wondering what to do with Bryant on your fantasy football team, strongly consider benching him.
