This week, NFL teams will play their fourth game of the year representing one quarter of the season. By now, you have a good idea of your roster and have tried to make all the changes possible to grab fresh talent. It's time to decide how to use that talent, and who you'll put in your starting lineup this weekend.
Our partner, numberFire.com, has run the statistics for this week and come up with their projections of fantasy points. Their list updates through the week as we get more information about injuries and players who might be seeing more opportunity. So check in with them later in the week. As of right now, the computers says:
Tom Brady is the man. Even though the Patriots lost last week and Tom Terrific fired four interceptions, he still lit up the scoreboard. The Patriots are relying heavily on their passing game, and Brady is benefiting, as are his owners. As usual, quarterbacks dominate the projections.
But working their way into the top 25 are some other positions. Even though he's been cold, the computer likes running back Rashard Mendenhall this week, and also likes Michael Turner against the Seahawks defense. Other running backs projected to shine include Darren McFadden, Maurice Jones-Drew and Ray Rice.
* Fantasy Points Projections are based on the Yahoo! and ESPN default scoring settings. Quarterbacks are scored with 1 point for every 25 passing yards, and 4 points for every touchdown. For running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends, they are scored with 1 point for every 10 total yards, and 6 points for every touchdown. This is a non-PPR projection.
Injured players appear on the list, this is their projection IF they play.
