OK, our partner, numberFire.com, has been crushing numbers and using their algorithms to project fantasy points for this weekend. But, I'm having a hard time believing what I'm seeing for Week 4 running backs. The rest of the list looks good to me, but Rashard Mendenhall as the overall top running back. I guess it's man vs. computer on this one, because I can't endorse that pick. Mendenhall has been ice cold so far this year, and the Houston defense is not the worst in the league. I'll pass on that recommendation, and if I'm wrong, then I'll learn my lesson on battling the computer.
Further down the list we see many of the regulars. But owners of Peyton Hillis and BenJarvus Green-Ellis need to pay special attention going forward. Hillis is being pushed for carries by Montario Hardsety and Green-Ellis is watching Stevan Ridley in the rear-view mirror.
* Fantasy Points Projections are based on the Yahoo! and ESPN default scoring settings. Quarterbacks are scored with 1 point for every 25 passing yards, and 4 points for every touchdown. For running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends, they are scored with 1 point for every 10 total yards, and 6 points for every touchdown. This is a non-PPR projection.
Injured players appear on the list, this is their projection IF they play.
