Santonio Holmes X-Rays Negative, Will Still Miss Time: Fantasy Implications

The Star-Ledger-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Jets still aren't sure how long Santonio Holmes will be out. We break down the fantasy implications.

The X-rays on Santonio Holmes' foot came back negative on Monday, but the Jets are still unsure of what his actual injury is. He has already been ruled out for Week 5, though there is no timetable for his return yet.

Fantasy Impact: After being completely blown out by the 49ers at home, the Jets also lost their No. 1 receiver, adding to the offensive woes they're currently enduring. Reports indicate there is swelling in his foot, but it is not an Achilles injury. An MRI will reveal the nature of his injury, so fantasy owners will want to continue checking this situation going forward. Chaz Schilens and Jeremy Kerley now move up in value with Stephen Hill hurt as well, but no one is making an impact for fantasy owners right now on the Jets.
