Jeff Hanisch-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte will reportedly be active for Monday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys. We break down the fantasy implications.

Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte is reportedly telling teammates that he will be active for Monday's game against the Dallas Cowboys, according to a sourced report from Jay Glazer of Fox Sports. The report says that Forte will play barring a "freak setback." Earlier Monday, coach Lovie Smith said during a radio appearance on WBBM-AM 780 that Forte, who missed last week's game because of an ankle injury, would be a game-time decision.

Fantasy Impact: It's probably too late to get Forte into most fantasy lineups and it isn't advised. There is no way of knowing how much of a factor he will be in the game against Dallas and Michael Bush should still see plenty of carries and could still get more chances than Forte. Fantasy owners should see how Forte looks on Monday and evaluate him as an option for Week 5.
