Matt Flynn not an option at quarterback for Seahawks: fantasy implications

Steven Bisig-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll says quarterback Matt Flynn is not healthy enough to play. We break down the fantasy implications.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Flynn is "not full speed" in practice and can't yet be part of the game plan, coach Pete Carroll said on Monday. Flynn has been slowed by an elbow injury and Carroll said (via ESPN Seattle) that Flynn hasn't been able to put in a full week of practice. Starter Russell Wilson threw for just 160 yards and three interceptions in Sunday's loss to the St. Louis Rams.

Fantasy Impact: The team spent a lot of money to bring Flynn to Seattle but it sounds like the team is sticking with Wilson out of necessity. Wilson has yet to pass for more than 160 yards in a game and, with the exception of his Hail Mary pass to Golden Tate that most people agree shouldn't have counted, has done little to help fantasy owners. Neither Flynn or Wilson are worth owning.
