Mark Sanchez gets another vote of confidence, but fantasy days should be over

Mark Sanchez has support from Rex Ryan and approximately nobody else. We break down the fantasy implications.

New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez is in more hot water this week. After his latest dud in Week 4, coach Rex Ryan went on ESPN Radio to reiterate his support for the embattled QB, saying that benching Sanchez would be a "football decision" and he expects him to "bounce back."

Fantasy Impact: Sanchez is looking like a lost cause, and fantasy owners should drop him if they haven't already. Despite Ryan's public support, it's only a matter of time before the team is forced to cut their losses. Tim Tebow remains the most popular backup QB in the country, but still won't have any fantasy value any time soon. The Jets host the Houston Texans next week on Monday Night Football, and they can't keep up this charade if Sanchez struggles in front of a national audience.
