Brady Quinn is expected to start Week 6 when the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to the Denver Post. Regular starter Matt Cassel suffered a concussion during last week's loss to the Baltimore Ravens, putting his immediate playing status in doubt. He has yet to be cleared to practice.
Fantasy Impact: Barring a sudden unforeseen recovery, Quinn will helm the Chiefs' offense offense against the Bucs. The good news is he faces a secondary that is giving up a league-worst 345 yards passing per game and 9.0 yards per attempt. The bad news is that Quinn has yet to prove he is a starting NFL quarterback in his six season in the league, and apparently could not mount much of a challenge to a struggling Cassel. Quinn's assumption of the starting job could mean an increased emphasis on Jamaal Charles, but it is difficult to imagine that fantasy prospects will improve for anyone playing offense for the Chiefs.
